Call for Code: Combating Global Hunger with the Node-RED Starter Kit

By IBM Developer

Hunger is a global issue, where millions of people around the world have insufficient access to adequate food. According to the UN Hunger Report, the number of people globally who are experiencing severe food insecurity — meaning that they go for entire days without eating due to lack of money, lack of access to food, or other resources, has been slowly rising since 2014. In this workshop, you will learn how to use this starter kit to build applications to address the real-world challenge of global hunger by enabling independent farmers. The starter kit provides tools and resources from our experts to help you jump-start your own solution.
🎓 What you will learn
In this workshop developers will learn:
  • How how to use Node-RED to integrate APIs together
  • New APIs to work with including Twilio. Open weather map, Telstra, and the weather company APIs
  • The zero-hunger sub-theme in the Call for Code Challenge
đŸ‘©â€đŸ’» Who should attend?
  • Anyone who is participating or wants to learn about Call for Code
