Ray Ó Foghlú is an advocate of returning trees and forests of all types to the Irish landscape. In 2021 he was awarded a Nuffield Scholarship to investigate attitudes and explore policy opportunities in this area. In this online webinar, participants will have an opportunity to find out and discuss Ray’s learnings from his research and what his vision is for sustainable forestry expansion in Ireland, touching on the idea of allowing existing pockets of native woodland to expand by natural regeneration.

Ray also has valuable experience and insight to offer as a Landowner Engagement Coordinator for Hometree Charity and through his involvement in the Farm-Forest Alliance: European Innovation Partnership project.
