Witchcraft and the Cult of Diana with Jonathan (Navi) Sousa
By Pentagram Salem
The Goddess Diana is so old that Her roots are shrouded in Italy’s past. Lady of the Sacred Forest. Goddess of both Sun and Moon. Queen of the Hosts of Heaven. The Triple Goddess. The Light-bearer. Virgin Mother of the Stars. Dread Huntress of Souls. Sovereign of the Land of Angels. Queen of Witches and Elves. Formentor of Rebellions. Partner of Iupiter, Ianus, and Apollo. Mother of Erodiade (Aradia).
Her cult has many manifestations, ranging from the stately Religio Romana to the clandestine rites of La Religione Vecchia (Stregoneria or Italian Witchcraft). And Her worship exerted a major if unsung influence on the neopagan revival in the modern era.
Join Jonathan (Navi) Sousa in exploring Diana’s worship and its connections to sorcery, Witchcraft, and the old Fairy Faith of Southern Italy. After the workshop, there will be a ritual honoring Diana’s Nemoralia (the Feast of Torches) in the Society of Diana’s core praxis.
