By Creative Plus Business
Balancing a creative career and a part-time job can be tricky. Where does one find the time? During this engaging discussion, our facilitator, Wendi Lanham, and two esteemed guests, Bali Padda and Sats Kramer, will share their personal experiences, triumphs, and lessons learned from running creative businesses while working part-time.
From balancing time commitments to managing finances and harnessing the power of creativity, they will delve into the realities of pursuing your passions alongside other professional obligations.
Part of our Evening Education series!
What’s Included?
A 60 min panel webinar with our creative industries experts, plus lifetime access to additional resources and/or a special Dropbox folder containing more resources to support your learning.
Who should sign up?
Creative industries professionals and business people from start-up to established (Australia only, sorry!). We also welcome creative freelancers, soloists, students, start-ups and curious hobbyists.
Who's the host?
Wendi Lanham is an actor, presenter, model, and the General Manager of Creative Plus Business. She has a wealth of experience combining business and creative practice and is well-versed in the myriad ways artists can make money in order to weather the famine and feast of creative income more effectively.
Bali Padda is a freelance creative working in theatre and screen as a producer, director, and actor. He was Industry Development Executive at Screen Australia, overseeing funding for business support and professional development. He’s spent the past decade consulting for the arts industries on creative projects, industry and business strategy, diversity, equity and inclusion and talent/artist development, championing the authentic voice of historically excluded communities.
Satoru Kramer is a creative industry specialist and can support customers anywhere in NSW. Satoru (Sats) is a professional musician, photographer and videographer based on the Far South Coast of NSW.
Sats helps artists across creative industries to understand the key issues that artistic practices need to navigate, particularly when building a creative business and professional practice, while providing practical solutions to creative problems. He is passionate about empowering musicians and all artists with the tools and know-how to make a career out of doing the thing they love.
Sats has also previously represented MusicNSW as the Regional Music Officer for the South East of the state. This role saw Sats working across the music industry, as both a professional development facilitator and a central information and connection hub for all stakeholders in the local music industry.
When not working in the music sphere, Sats runs a photography and videography business. Propelled Pictures captures beautiful, natural photography of properties, brands, weddings and events, helping people to capture the stories and milestones in their lives. Working across multiple disciplines has given Sats a wide experience in understanding creative businesses. When not helping others with their artistic endeavours, you'll find Sats in his music studio or on the stage as both an original artist and session musician.
