Using Technology to Fight Dementia

Innovative technologies represent an exciting cutting edge solution to support people living with dementia and their caregivers, expanding the possibilities for living a meaningful, dignified life alongside this increasingly common cognitive disease. In this session, learn about an innovative screening tool for Alzheimer’s disease, how a music program brings joy and meaning to participants living with dementia, and how technology is being considered in new national long-term care standards.
This session will be moderated by Laura Tamblyn Watts, CEO of CanAge (Canada’s National Seniors’ Advocacy Organization) and feature guest speaker Scott Russell, CEO of the Alzheimer Society of Toronto, Dr. Alex Mihailidis, CEO and Scientific Co-Director of AGE-WELL and Eliav Shaked, CEO of RetiSpec.
