Tuning Tips with Wayne and Annie Erbsen

By Native Ground

Calling all hopelessly out-of-tune aspiring musicians!
In this FREE video lesson, Wayne and Annie Erbsen will share their favorite ways to tune fretted & stringed musical instruments. These tuning methods will work for instruments including guitar, banjo, mandolin and ukulele. This class is geared towards beginners and "seasoned beginners," but will include helpful tips for musicians of all levels. You're welcome to ask questions or share your favorite tuning methods in the chat. This will be a live broadcast from our living room, and we'd love for you to join us! You'll find registration details below.
About the teachers:
This class will be taught by father-daughter team Wayne and Annie Erbsen. Wayne has written dozens of music instruction books and songbooks for all levels, including the best-selling Bluegrass Banjo for the Complete Ignoramus. Wayne is the founder of Native Ground Books & Music and teaches old-time music at the University of North Carolina- Asheville. Annie is a multi-instrumentalist who has been playing, performing and teaching various styles of traditional music for more than 20 years. You can usually find her playing guitar, bass or banjo in various swing bands when she's not working at Native Ground Books & Music.
HOW THE CLASS WORKS: The class is online, but *not* via Zoom. You’ll be able to see and hear us, but we won't be able to see or hear you (so stay in those comfy sweatpants if you wish). The class will last about 15-20 minutes, and we encourage you to ask questions and share comments in the chat section.
Register and hold your spot today! We highly recommend that you log in and get set up 10 minutes before the class starts, so you don’t miss out on any of the class time. We’ll be there to say hello and welcome everyone!
