Ross King: The Bookseller of Florence
By TPLCulture
Against the backdrop of Renaissance Florence, best-selling writer, Ross King (Leonardo and the Last Supper) presents The Bookseller of Florence, bringing to light an extraordinary story about the city and its culture through its most celebrated bookseller, the city’s most celebrated keeper of knowledge. His bookshop in the heart of Florence is a gathering place for the city's most prominent poets and philosophers and as he begins working on one of his most famed and gorgeous works, the Urbino Bible, the printing press comes to the city and threatens his life's work. The Bookseller of Florence tells the true story of the people at the forefront of the world's greatest cultural and technological revolution.
Ross King talks with Crystal King (The Chef’s Secret) about The Bookseller of Florence and the clash between old and new during one of the world's most transformative moments in time.
