Black Owned Toronto: Supporting Community Beyond Business
By TPL Programs
There are many Black entrepreneurs and businesses in Toronto, but how many have you visited or worked with?
Meet Kerin John, Black business activist and founder of @BlackOwned.TO, a space created to support and showcase Black-owned businesses.
Kerin will talk about how the @BlackOwned.TO community grew to have over 61.7k followers, how you can support Black-owned businesses (and discover new ones to check out), and how supporting Black-owned businesses goes beyond economic reasons.
Kerin will appear in conversation with Casey Palmer, a Toronto-based storyteller, who actively shares his fatherhood journey and adventures with his urban family in various ways through Canada’s digital landscape.
This event is part of our Live & Online series and is the virtual version of our Small Business programming. This Small Business program is supported by Shopify.
Toronto Public Library is committed to accessibility. Call or email us if you have a request for accommodation. Let us know as far in advance as possible and we will do our best to meet your request. Call 416-393-7099 or email [email protected]
