The live streaming of Day 1 will start 6:00PM central time with the Emmet Cohen trio featuring Bruce Harris. This will be followed by the Matthew Whitaker Quintet starting at 8:30PM. There will be a break between sets to reset the stage that will include interview and other performances, so don't go anywhere!

A multifaceted American jazz pianist and composer, Emmet Cohen is in the vanguard of his generation's advancement of music and the related arts. With a fluid technique, an innovative tonal palette, and an extensive repertoire, Cohen plays with the command and passion of an artist fully devoted to his medium.
Born and raised in the Bronx, trumpeter Bruce Harris has earned the reputation as one of the most important and emerging voices in jazz today. His chops were honed in many of New York's premier music venues and he’s performed alongside a long list of legendary performers, including Wynton Marsalis & the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, the Count Basie Orchestra, and Tony Bennett.

Blind since birth, Matthew Whitaker’s love for playing music first began at the young age of 3. Now 20, he has built an illustrious career that has taken him around the world to perform in such legendary locales as Lincoln Center, the Apollo Theater, Carnegie Hall, the Monterey Jazz Festival, and international venues in Europe, Africa, and Asia. This prodigy pianist was a winner of The ASCAP Foundation Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composers Award for his original compositions, “Emotions & Underground” in 2019 and 2020.
