The Lost Son Book Launch
By Kew and Willow Books
Join us on TUESDAY, March 15th at 7pm as we celebrate the launch of Stephanie Vanderslice's debut novel, The Lost Son. With her book set in the Queens of the '30s and '40s, Vanderslice will be in discussion with Queens historian Carl Ballenas.
-----------------------------------------------------
Stephanie Vanderslice spent the first years of her life in Kew Gardens. Although she grew up in the Albany area, she spent so much time with her extended family in Ridgewood, Glendale and Rego Park that Queens remains influential in her writing. She currently lives with her family outside Little Rock, Arkansas, where she teaches creative writing and directs the Arkansas Writers MFA Workshop. She is the author of The Geek's Guide to the Writing Life: An Instructional Memoir for the Rest of Us, named a top writing book by Poets and Writers and The Writer magazine, and many books about teaching creative writing. Set in Queens, The Lost Son is her first novel.
