According to Deloitte's TMT Predictions 2021, women's sport has the "ability to generate substantial TV audiences, deliver value to sponsors, and draw tens of thousands of fans per event".

Despite this, investment in the sector is still the exception rather than the norm, although projects such as Angel City FC are increasingly making the case for large-scale investment in women's sport.

With the increase in Private Equity investments in sport, particularly men's sport, the investment opportunity in women's sport has never been under a greater spotlight.
