About Oriel
From the deeps of the spanish tiki culture of the 70s to the authentic european tiki revival, Oriol Elias aka “The Bald Bastard” is travelling the world spreading the word of tiki.
He is a rum lover, a tiki expert, a self-described “cocktail freak” based in Barcelona, Spain. One of Spain’s premier tiki bartenders, Oriol has spent the last 10 plus years honing his craft at a number of Barcelona rum and tiki bars including Tahiti and the Caribbean Club.
The name of this web “Three of Strong” is based on the classic rhyme of the Planter’s Punch recipe:
“One of sour, two of sweet, three of strong, four of weak”
Being the rum the “strong” on that recipe and the Planter’s Punch the base that Don the Beachcomber used to create his famous Rhum Rapsodies, we could know what’s the concept of this blog: rum, tiki drinks and more…
Oriol travels the world from event to event, from Barcelona to Miami, through Lima, Paris, Berlin,…Teaching about rum and tiki cocktails on masterclasses, seminars and workshops, he is also international rum tasting judge, online tiki teacher at the platform Dash Workshops and founder member of the Barcelona Rum Club.

Event producer and retro personality, Jupiter Jones is known for her immersive events held in bars & restaurants all over the world. Coming from a background in hospitality, experiential marketing, and event management, Jupiter mixes her craft cocktail and marketing knowledge to produce experiences with a heavy focus on community involvement, spirit education, and environmental sustainability and responsibility. As owner of her own experiential marketing and event production company, Jupiter's relationship with brands and venues is built to amplify brand loyalty and solidify community support.

Traveled all over the world to learn and teach about rum and tropical drinks. Author of Let’s Get Tropical cocktail book. Mahiki’s Global Creative manager for over 10 years before he opened his own Laki Kane bar in the heart of London.
