"Women on Wednesdays": Symone Sanders - "No, You Shut Up," in conversation with Betsy Fischer Martin
By au_wpi
As part of our “Women on Wednesdays” series, please join the Women & Politics Institute for a virtual conversation with WPI Executive Director Betsy Fischer Martin and Symone Sanders, Senior Advisor to the 2020 Biden For President Campaign and author of, No, You Shut Up: Speaking Truth to Power and Reclaiming America.
Sanders, who in 2016 was the national press secretary for Bernie Sanders' presidential campaign, shares her "take-no-prisoners approach to life, politics, and career success," and shows a new generation how to "find their authentic voice" and use it to bring about much-needed change. “More than ever we need to stand up, not shut up,” Sanders writes. "This book is for any person who has been told they dream too big. Anyone who has been shut down, shut out, talked over, ignored, talked down to, or dismissed.”
