The PIE Webinar - Spotlight on Bangladesh
By The PIE
In this webinar we will be exploring Bangladesh and the opportunities it offers to international educators: as a source market for students, and for collaborative partnerships in research and transnational education.
Universities and other providers are already heavily focused on South Asia, especially India, and as they also seek to diversify their international cohorts, we will examine the appetite for international ed in Bangladesh, both demographically and politically.
We are fortunate to hear from UK diplomatic representatives at the highest level about the macro picture and the local context of forming institutional partnerships.
We will also hear a fascinating case study from the University of Portsmouth, in the UK, and its initiative with the Bangladesh diaspora in south west England in a highly successful two-way relationship to build its student population.
This is a great opportunity for international offices to learn about a lesser-known South Asian ‘market’, and to pose questions to experts on international education in Bangladesh.
Panel:
Chris Chang, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Global Engagement and Student Life) University of Portsmouth
Dan Pasha Director of Trade & Investment, Bangladesh, Foreign & Commonwealth Office
Tanvir Mohammad Azim, Commercial Counsellor, Bangladesh High Commission
Helen Packer, Reporter, The PIE
