Released in 1972 on Apple Records, Some Time in New York City is a part-live, part-studio double album co-produced by John Lennon and Yoko Ono with Phil Spector, and including backing music by the band Elephant’s Memory. The album's politically-charged themes and lyrics deal with such social issues and topics as sexism, racism and unfair incarceration.
