From One Theatre to Another: Soldiers and the Stage
By National Army Museum
The theatre has long been a key component in military life, providing an important release for troops, whether at home in the barracks, on overseas deployment, or even when detained in prisoner-of-war camps.
Many soldiers have taken part in theatre productions and many more have watched their comrades perform. Through all of this, the theatre and the creative industry have proven to be an effective way of boosting morale.
Speaker details to follow.
This event is hosted in collaboration with Army @The Fringe, a British Army Edinburgh Fringe project. Army@The Fringe first opened its doors in August 2017 with an ambition to spark conversations about what the Army is and what it stands for in 21st-century society. Their full programme of events can be found here.
