Recording: SfNC Methods - Divergent Thinking Tasks
By SfNC
Dear SfNC Community,
The Society for the Neuroscience of Creativity (SfNC) is pleased to host SfNC Methods on October 15, 2021 from 11am - 12:30 EDT.
The focus of this event is to dive deeply into difference scoring methods, instructions, and other methodological considerations for divergent thinking tasks in creativity research.
This event will include short talks (~10 minutes) from expert creativity researchers who utilize divergent thinking tasks in their work.
We are delighted to feature a group of speakers who are experts on all things divergent thinking:
- Yoed Kenett (Technion - Israel Institute of Technology)
- Mark Runco (Southern Oregon University), Paul Silvia (University of North Carolina at Greensboro)
- Selcuk Acar (University of North Texas) will share insights on different scoring methods, instructions and other methodological considerations.
The goal is to work towards developing a gold standard for how we as a community measure divergent thinking.
These presentations will be followed by a panel discussion where the audience is encouraged to ask questions.
We look forward to seeing you October 15th!
