The Rise of Southeast Asia

By The PIE

Institutions are becoming increasingly aware of the need to diversify inbound student recruitment away from the powerhouse markets of China and, more recently, India.
In this session The PIE and Acumen will bring together a panel of industry experts to deep dive into the increasingly important Southeast Asia market with a focus on Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and The Philippines.
The panel will explore how student profiles differ across the broad region, course demand by country, recruitment and conversion best practice and tactics, as well as the importance of leveraging partnership and TNE opportunities across the region.
We’ll also be discussing the return of the Australian market, and how this will impact the UK higher education sector’s ambitions in the region.
You, the audience, will have the opportunity to put your own questions to the panel. Chairs:
Pete Richards, Executive Director, UK and Europe, Acumen/Sannam S4
Nicholas Cuthbert, Director of Insight, The PIE Panellists:
Haike Manning, Executive Director, Southeast Asia, Acumen/Sannam S4
Cecilia Pereira-Yates, Director, Client Success, Acumen/Sannam S4
Jasmine Bual, Regional Manager, Southeast Asia, Durham University
Stef Walton, Director of Global Student Recruitment, Coventry University
