An Ode to the Strawberry Moon (Session 1)

Unlisted
Friday 5 June marks a partial lunar eclipse of the Strawberry Full Moon of June, so called because in Native American cultures this is the time wild strawberries begin to ripen. In other cultures, it is known as the Rose moon because of the colour change, or the Hot moon for the beginning of summer heat.
Using various yoga practises we will connect with this powerful shift in the alignment of celestial bodies and explore the subtle energy that is created when the Earth moves between the Sun and the Moon. There will be moon salutations, balances, mantra, mudra, meditation and moonbathing relaxations.
This is a 90 minute class. Join us from 5:55pm for a prompt 6pm start.

In a nutshell, if anything causes you discomfort or aggravates an injury you have then don’t do it. Yoga is not a competition, yoga is about learning to honour the needs of our bodies by connecting to our body's innate wisdom and listening to it. There are always alternative ways to do poses and some poses may be best avoided. Remember... 'when in doubt, leave it out'... until you talk to your GP or yoga teacher.
Happy practicing! Jo and Ben
