Practical Empathy: Part II
By Rachel Strickland Creative
This is an advanced course in functional woo for empaths. It will build on what we covered in the first Practical Empathy workshop.
Part I- available here- was full of tested, effective tools for managing an emotional field as absorbent as a paper towel. It is highly recommended that you have seen Part I before you watch Part II, but hey this is your barbeque. :)
Part II is less about defensive techniques for protecting your sanity and more about ACTIVE ways to dynamically USE your beautiful, intelligent, squishy natural sensitivity in a way that lights you up instead of hollows you out.
There will be a brief review of the principles we covered the first time, but the real meat of this webinar is to get to the more advanced techniques of Practical Empathy. I want you to worry less about reacting to the energy of a space, and know how to powerfully CREATE that space.
I am hosting it because I am up to my armpits in empaths (and I love it). I am an artist, and I coach and mentor artists and creatives. Most of the people I work with are profoundly empathic.
I don't think it's an accident that the creative life and the empathic individual are a natural by-occurrence of each other. And you may have noticed, there is very little support or tools available for navigating this that won't make your eyes roll out of your head to read, or try to paint you as a victim.
You don't have to live alone, be a hermit, never go to parties, and wrap yourself in cotton wool just to stay sane as an empath. You do not have to live in a perpetual state of defense. You can enjoy, celebrate, and utilize your sublime sensitivity in a way that is healthy. Delightful. Juicy. Delicious.
I aim to leave you with your feet firmly on the ground and with a few immediately actionable tools for managing your spongey emotional body and actively using it in your life.
We will discuss:
- Briefly the techniques we covered in Part I
- How to active choose to use your empathy in powerful ways
- Immediate techniques for reclaiming space in an overpowering conversation
- Dynamic practices for being an active force, not a reactive one
- How to tell when a connection is live (aka is it working ?!)
- How to use your empathy purposefully and powerfully in mutually beneficial connection with others
And YES this will be recorded, and the replay will be available. Even if you cannot make the time of the webinar, anyone who registers will be able to use this link to watch the replay.
You can (and please do!) send any questions ahead of time to be sure that your concerns are addressed. Here is how to do that after you register:
