For the past twenty-two years, bassist and double bass luthier Matt Bohn has made his living in Felton, CA, restoring, repairing, setting up, and dealing in all things related to the double bass. In this class, Bohn will begin by covering the care and maintenance of the double bass, then move into basic anatomy explanations, demonstrating different instrument component functions with a live inside view of the instrument, then lead discussions covering double bass setup. Questions from attendees are encouraged and time will be reserved toward the end of the class for a Q&A. This will be an informative class for all string players, including violinists, violists, and cellists.
