In 1996 MEDDIC came into existence when 3 men at PTC asked themselves:
- Why do we win deals?
- Why do we lose deals?
- Why do deals slip?
What they found was that there were six commonalities in the answers to these questions and these commonalities were the basis and origin of MEDDIC.
Today there is a lot of talk about MEDDIC or MEDDICC or MEDDPICC.
