Living with Long Covid
By Dr. Karen Litzy, PT, DPT
After having Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), many people will start to feel better in a few weeks. Unfortunately, some people take a lot longer to get better. Having ongoing or new symptoms of COVID-19 can change, come and go, or fluctuate over time. To describe these symptoms, people and healthcare professionals may use different terms. Long COVID is one of those terms, which was made by patients.
In this Round Table Talk my guests will discuss:
* LongCovid Physio
* What is Long Covid
* Living with Long Covid
* How to implement #StopRestPace
* The World Physiotherapy briefing paper on safe rehabilitation approaches for people living with Long COVID
* The benefit that PTs can provide for patients with Long Covid
* And of course the answers to your questions!
The expert panel includes:
* Darren Brown, BSc, MSc, MSCP: Chair of LongCovid Physio
* Dr. Daria Oller, PT, DPT, ATC: Education Director of LongCovid Physio
* Dr Ted DeChane PT, DPT: Communication & Social Media Director of LongCovid Physio
Please join us to learn more about living with LongCovid and how to work in the rehabilitation space with people living with LongCovid.
