Experiences Publishing Our First Translations
Emerging translators Joyce Zonana and Paulette Boudrot will discuss their experiences publishing their debut translations, Malicroix by Henri Bosco and Boston My Blissful Winter, Memories of the 1980s by Alain Briottet. They will explore selecting a project, finding a publisher, working with an editor/publisher, and the publication process. They will then share brief readings. Both presenters are older women coming to translation from different backgrounds: Joyce from academia, and Paulette from being a small business owner. Time permitting, Q&A can be posted via chat.
Moderator: Paulette Boudrot
Presenter(s): Joyce Zonana
Following a teaching career, Paulette Boudrot transitioned to administration at the French Consulate, Boston. She then founded PLJ Administrative & Business Solutions.
