Kim Stoddart: The Climate Change Garden
By Permaculture-Association
Guardian journalist, author and The Organic Way editor, Kim Stoddart, has recorded a video from her garden for this session on Climate Change Gardening.
There’s no getting away from it; our climate and weather patterns are changing and fast. Our gardening practices need to catch up. Learning how to protect our gardens against extremes of weather will be key. will show you how to become a climate change savvy gardener for the future.
This session shows you how to adapt and cope with the volatile weather extremes that lie ahead – storms, torrential rain, flooding and drought for example. There’s a look at how to adapt in the vegetable garden, what types of fruit to grow, how trees and wildlife can help in the battle against climate change and what changes may be necessary in the flower garden.
Then, a live panel of 4 Permaculture Association members will happily talk about their gardens and answer your questions: Jennifer Lauruoul, Chris Warburton Brown, Sarah Cossom, and Ryan Sandford-Blackburn.
