Join Dr Anne Biccard in conversation with Aspasia Karras as they explore the drama, pathos, blood and guts, and much lighter, downright hilarious moments and behind the scenes in one of Johannesburg’s busiest emergency rooms. It is unquestionably a world of true grit.
Anne Biccard’s second memoir – Holding My Breath: Further exploits of an ER doctor – follows her bestselling debut Saving a Stranger’s Life. It is candid, funny, poignant and heart-breaking, and set to be another word-of-mouth bestseller.  Biccard’s warmth and humanity shine through the often-harrowing tale, creating an unputdownable, uplifting and inspiring book.
