Reimagining Notre Dame: History, Conservation and Restoration of the Cathedral of Paris

By TPL Programs

Spared from collapse after a catastrophic fire in April 2019, the Gothic cathedral Notre-Dame of Paris remains an object of fascination both in the history of architecture and in the popular imagination. In this lively illustrated talk, art historian Lindsay Cook will explore the building's history, conservation, and restoration. She is a board member of Scientifiques de Notre-Dame, a scholarly association founded shortly after the fire.
