Join us for the regional premier and unreleased screening of "NOWHERE" hosted by ReelQ. This program includes an exclusive interview with directors David and Francisco Salazar and two of the films main actors.
Film synopsis: Adrian and Sebastian live an openly gay life in New York as Immigrants. When Sebastian's visa is rejected, the two must decide whether to return to Colombia where they face rejection and persecution for their sexual orientation or do whatever is necessary to stay in the United States. Either way, the thoughts and discussions associated with the decision will have a profound effect on the couple. Hitting upon hot button issues Nowhere places its characters within the context of the difficult immigration situation in the US and furthering a sense of homelessness and lack of belonging for the main protagonists.
Filmmakers Francisco Salazar and David Salazar have directed a number of films together. Some of their films have been selected into various film festivals including the Long Island International Film Expo, the Sunscreen Film Festival, Pittsburgh Independent Film Festival and Big Apple Film Festival. Francisco holds a Masters in Media Management and Studies at the New School and a BA in Film Production/Studies with a Minor in Italian at Hofstra University. David holds a Masters at the Fordham University in Media Management and a BA in Film Production/Studies and Journalism at Hofstra University.
