Erma Bombeck Writing Competition Awards Ceremony, Sponsored by the Washington-Centerville Public Library

By Erma Bombeck Writers' Workshop

Betsy Bombeck, daughter of the legendary columnist Erma Bombeck, will offer keynote remarks at the Erma Bombeck Writing Competition Awards ceremony, which will include the four winning writers reading their essays from the humor and human interest categories.
In 2020, 559 writers from 10 countries, 48 states and the District of Columbia entered previously unpublished essays — roughly 251,550 words. The four winners receive a free registration to the Oct. 29-31 Erma Bombeck Writers’ Workshop, $1,000 and publication of their essays online and in the workshop’s program. Read the winning essays here.
📷The event, free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Washington-Centerville Public Library in affiliation with the University of Dayton's Erma Bombeck Writers' Workshop. Registration is required.
