Join KidsGardening as we talk with garden expert and author Charlie Nardozzi about how using an ecosystem-based approach in the garden including techniques such as companion planting and no-dig gardening can help you grow a successful and sustainable youth garden program.
We will also explore how the garden can be used to teach kids about the intricate and vital relationships of plants, animals, fungi and other microorganisms in our world and the benefits of environmental diversity.

Sarah Pounders is a Senior Education Specialist at Kidsgardening and has been active in the field of youth gardening for over 25 years with experience coordinating numerous children’s gardens, writing curricula and activities for youth of all ages, teaching formal and informal youth education programs, and conducting educator training sessions. She also enjoys gardening at home with her two children and serving as the volunteer garden coordinator at a local elementary school. Sarah has led a wide array of garden-related teacher training workshops and national and international conference sessions.
