Computational Integrity
By STARK @ Home
"Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching."
C.S. Lewis.
A common denominator of conventional financial systems, blockchains, layer 2 rollups (of the ZK and optimistic kind) and trusted execution environments like SGX are that they promise to deliver Computational Integrity: doing the right computation, even when no one is watching.
In this episode we'll explain what Computational Integrity means and compare the different means to achieve it.
In particular, there will be no math (or, rather, little of it) but a lot of discussion of the proper Root of Trust for our financial infrastructure.
