Compression Obsession (Replay)
By Shannon McKenna Aerial
Compression- the ability to to bring your legs close to your torso, is one of the most helpful strengths for an artist in any circus discipline. However, tight hamstrings, nervy knees, and difficulty targeting the lower abs are just SOME of the limiting factors standing between you and the pike of your dreams.
NEVER FEAR!
This 1 hour workshop is jam packed full of solutions and drills AND a review of the anatomy and physiology to explain the context and logic behind the exercises.
NOTE: This is a practical workshop, meaning there will be time to practice and physically explore the concepts presented. However, it is not necessary to DO the exercises to learn something!
THINGS YOU MAY NEED:
-Resistance bands
-Two blocks (or some old hardcover encyclopedias).
-A foam roller
-Lacrosse ball or peanut
-Note taking equipment.
