Collective Care in the Time of COVID

By People's Action

Health Care for All
We’re all doing our part to take care of ourselves and those closest to us through this pandemic. It’s time to take our collective care to the next level!
Join People’s Action and our special guests this Saturday at 3:30 pm ET for our livestream event Collective Care in the Time of COVID!
Individual action and social distancing–while critical–aren’t enough. Hospital treatment for coronavirus costs tens of thousands of dollars. People are already delaying treatment due to costs, and some have died after being turned away due to lack of insurance. The number of uninsured and under-insured will likely exceed 100 million people in the U.S. during the pandemic, while people of color and women are disproportionately impacted by the pandemic. Only collective, public action can solve these problems.
We’ll discuss and celebrate the ways we’re all taking care of each other through this crisis. Hear from experts about how we got here and discuss what we can do to get through this in a way that helps us build a better future! At the end, we’ll collectively take action to demand a Health Care Emergency Guarantee!

The Health Care Emergency Guarantee Act would guarantee medically necessary health care, including prescription drugs, to everyone at no cost to individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Caring for one another is how we get through this! Join us!
