Kim Stanley Robinson is a legendary author of more than 20 works of science fiction, including the bestselling Mars Trilogy and the critically-acclaimed New York 2140, 2312, and Red Moon. In 2008, he was named a "Hero of the Environment" by Time magazine, and he works with the Sierra Nevada Research Institute.
Michael E. Mann is a renowned climate scientist and author of numerous previous books, including Dire Predictions. He is Distinguished Professor of Atmospheric Science at Penn State and has received many honors and awards, including NOAA’s outstanding publication award in 2002 and selection by Scientific American as one of the fifty leading visionaries in science and technology in 2002.
