Chinese Orchid and Fuchsia Brush Painting Class
By Nan Rae Studio
Chinese Orchid and Fuchsia Brush Painting Class with Nan Rae
We'll be painting the Chinese Orchid in the first half of the class. This subject represents Spring and The Promise of a New Life!
Although it is quite 'minimalistic,' there is much to learn that translates to other subjects: positive and negative brush strokes, composition, and the meaning of the basic strokes.
One of the Four Gentlemen or Four Seasons of Chinese Brush Painting, the Chinese Orchid represents Spring, the season of promise & new life. Purity and virtue.
