The Chinese Magnolia "A Floral Ballet"
One look at the impressive Chinese Magnolia is enough to perceive it’s tough but lady-like fiber. It’s the strong fiber that trees are made of, but it is also the fiber that makes for enduring character and beauty that goes beyond the surface.
Approach this beauty with a loving hand and brush, and with great expectations, and you will discover that the Chinese Magnolia is supple, free, and eager to reveal its character in a ballet. All this is without reference to technical skill or perfection. While, of course, we work to develop our skills, we begin this flower with a tender, loving approach, giving heart and soul - and receiving a proper reward. Indeed, we receive sooner rather than later, a veritable ‘"Floral Ballerina".

You'll be receiving a copy of Nan Rae's Chinese Magnolia handout via email when you register. You'll also have the opportunity to submit your work for Nan for critique, join the class's private Facebook group and ZOOM class meeting (a week after class).
All online classes are recorded, so if you can't make it to the live class, you can still sign-up and watch the replay of the class, which will be available a few minutes right after class. This also means that students that signed up for the class and joined live can watch the whole class again anytime!

Burnt Sienna
Indigo
Ink
HWC Neutral Tint
Sakura White Poster Color
Note: You can substitute any of the colors with what you have.
