Brian Castleberry's debut novel, Nine Shiny Objects, was a NYT Editor's Choice, an Indie Next selection, and was long-listed for the PEN/Faulkner Award. His shorter work has been published in Narrative, Lithub, The Southern Review, and elsewhere. An Oklahoma native, he lives in Virginia, where he is director of the creative writing program at the College of William & Mary.
Asako Serizawa was born in Japan and grew up in Singapore, Jakarta, and Tokyo. She has received two O. Henry Prizes, a Pushcart Prize, a Rona Jaffe Foundation Writers’ Award, and a fiction fellowship from the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown. Her first book, INHERITORS, won the PEN/Open Book Award and The Story Prize Spotlight Award. She currently lives in Boston.
