Bluegrass Banjo Workshop for Near Beginners w/ Wayne Erbsen
By Native Ground
Have you dipped your toe in the water of bluegrass banjo, and want to learn more? Maybe you’ve taken a beginning workshop, or learned from my book, “Bluegrass Banjo for the Complete Ignoramus,” or perhaps you’ve been learning on your own. On Sunday, August 29th at 2:00 Eastern Time I’m offering a "next step" online class that is geared towards people who know at a little bit but want to learn more. We’ll work on learning how to find the melodies of your favorite songs and then how to make them sound like bluegrass. Among the tunes we’ll work on will be "Will the Circle Be Unbroken," "Mountain Dew," and maybe "Worried Man Blues." You'll also be able to ask all of your burning questions and connect with other banjo-lovers!
HOW THE CLASS WORKS:
This class will be livestreamed online, so you don't even need to get out of your pajamas. You can attend the class while it happens, or you can watch it later! You'll also be able to rewatch it as many times as you want for as long as we have an account on Crowdcast.
There will be PDFs of the tab we’ll be using in the class available for download by pressing the green bottom of the screen after you register, these tabs will be up a couple of days before the class.
You'll be able to see Wayne, but he can't see you. However, you can use the chat window to make comments, ask questions, and connect with other folks in the class. ***We recommend that you use the Chrome browser to take this class***
The ticket price is sliding scale, so pay what you can afford.
This class will last between 1 and 1.5 hours, and you'll be able to ask Wayne questions in the group chat before and during the class. If you want to take a deeper dive into the world of bluegrass banjo, we recommend you pick up a copy of Wayne's best-selling book, "Bluegrass Banjo for the Complete Ignoramus!" which you can find at https://nativeground.com/product/bluegrass-banjo-for-the-complete-ignoramus/
