About Roberto:
Roberto began working at Destilería Serrallés in 2004 after completing a PhD in Environmental Studies from the University of Oregon. His first project was to design and implement a state-of-the-art wastewater-to-energy treatment facility, one of many initiatives since that have helped turn Destilería Serrallés into one of the greener distilleries in the Caribbean.
Roberto’s duties also included managing all aspects of strategic planning and business development, as well as overseeing new product development. In addition, Roberto supervised the operations of Serralles USA, its rum import company in the USA which is responsible for the national distribution of Don Q, Caliche Rum, Palo Viejo Rum, Deaths Door Spirits, and Barrow’s Intense.
