Anna Qu on Made in China: A Memoir of Love and Labor with Cinelle Barnes

Anna Qu is a Chinese American writer. Her debut memoir, Made in China: A Memoir of Love and Labor is forthcoming this August with Catapult. Her work has appeared in the Threepenny Review, Lumina, Kartika, Kweli, Vol.1 Brooklyn, among others. She holds an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College, and teaches workshops at New England College, Catapult and Sackett Street Writers' Workshop.
Cinelle Barnes is a formerly undocumented writer, editor, and educator from Manila, Philippines. She is the author of Monsoon Mansion, Malaya: Essays on Freedom, and a forthcoming book on climate justice, the Philippine water crisis, and Philippine spirituality and folklore. Cinelle is also the editor of the New York Times New & Noteworthy title, A Measure of Belonging: Twenty-One Writers of Color on the New American South. Her work has received support from the Sustainable Arts Fund, Kundiman, Capita, the Lowcountry Quarterly Arts Grant, the John and Susan Bennett Memorial Arts Fund, the Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art, and VONA. Cinelle is a contributor and instructor at Catapult.
