About the Author
Achea Redd is a mental health advocate, author of Be Free. Be You. and founder of the blog Real Girls F.A.R.T.—a space to empower and equip women with the necessary tools to become their best, most authentic selves.
The blog that Redd has been writing for the past three years is one of several efforts the mother of two has undertaken to raise awareness of mental illness and to ease the burden for those battling the disease. F.A.R.T stands for fearless, authentic, rescuer and trailblazer — the traits and roles she strives to attain and pass on to other women.
In Be Free. Be You., Achea uses her own life experience and mental health disorder to help women find their voice and let it out—and most importantly, to let women and girls who are suffering, struggling and stressed know that they are not alone.
Achea’s new book is set for release on Nov. 16, 2020. In Authentic You: A Girl's Guide to Growing Up Fearless and True, Achea breaks down the hardest parts of growing up, helping girls see through the challenges ahead to find in the midst of it their most authentic selves.
