A Conversation About Ukraine

Join us as we examine the Russian invasion of Ukraine and discuss its social and historical context. Topics explored will include the Ukrainian diaspora in Alberta, the Ukrainian identity, the role of misinformation on social media, and broader implications for democracy on a global scale.
Speakers are Jeff Stepnisky from MacEwan University, Natalia Khanenko-Friesen and Jars Balan from University of Alberta.
The event will be moderated by Nancy Carlson, the host of NEWS AT 6, CBC Edmonton’s flagship television program.
