Creative Conference Calls: Minneapolis One Year Later
By Society for News Design
The summer of 2020 brought us some incredible images and stories from Minneapolis. For the visual story tellers at the Star-Tribune it was a year of non-stop breaking-news coverage from the protests to the trial of Derek Chauvin. We will look back on the last 13 months with them and discuss how they visually told these closely followed stories and the impact on their community.
Speakers:
- Greg Mees, Design Director , The Star Tribune
- Kyndell Harkness, Assistant Managing Editor of Diversity and Community, The Star Tribune
- Anna Boone, Digital Designer, The Star Tribune
- Moderator: Corinne Chin, Senior Video Journalist and the founder and leader of the newsroom’s Diversity & Inclusion Task Force, The Seattle Times
