(11/8/19) CISO Series Video Chat: Hacking the CIS Top 20
By CISO Series
Please join on Friday, November 8th, 2019 at 10 AM Pacific for the next installment of the CISO Series Video Chats, "Hacking the CIS Top 20: An hour of critical thinking on the most well known beginner’s guide to setting up a security program".
Joining me, David Spark, producer of the CISO Series will be Jeff Kohrman (@jeffkohrman), CEO of eCISO and Greg van der Gaast, head of information security at The University of Salford.
Hashtag for the event is #HackingVideoChat.
Anyone else can join and be a part of the discussion. We want you to be a part of some serious out of the box thinking (and fun) on this subject.
Start thinking about the following:
The CIS Top 20 has long been a great tool to measure the current state of the maturity of your security program. We'll discuss briefly how most are using the guide, but then we'll delve deeper as to what's missed in its use. How can salespeople use the tool to better understand a security professional's program maturity and to place their own solutions?
As always, we want lots of ideas, even the bad ones. We applaud bad ideas because they often lead to great ideas.
The CISO Series Hacking Video Chats are an open discussion where all viewers and listeners are welcome to become participants. Before the scheduled event, connect your webcam and microphone and test your equipment here. During the discussion, if you have a question or comment, let it be known in the chat room and our producer will do his best to get as many of you into the conversation. We look forward to you joining us.
