Rondo Community Music Series - The Solomon Sessions

Trumpet player Solomon Parham, originally from Detroit, MI, has made significant contributions to the Twin Cities music scene by raising the next generation of jazz musicians and enthusiasts. He started his musical journey at age 9, studying under Herbie Williams and Marcus Belgrave. After earning his Bachelor’s from Wayne State University and a Master’s in Performance from McNally Smith College of Music, Solomon has taught and performed in the Twin Cities. He has played with renowned artists like Delfeayo Marsalis and Christian McBride and is a member of the Grammy-winning group Sounds of Blackness. He is featured in the Rondo Community Music Series with his latest project, The Solomon Sessions, which is a multicultural musical collective that creates original compositions by blending jazz and hip hop, drawing inspiration from J Dilla.
