What price is right? EV affordability and consumer adoption

By The Logic

Since 2015, Canada has invested $1 billion into making EVs more affordable. This comes in the form of federal rebates, provincial incentives and expanded charging networks. But with continued supply-chain issues, lack of infrastructure and incentives falling short, concerns around accessibility mount.
Join The Logic on Tuesday, July 26, for the launch event of Shift, a weekly guide to automotive tech, and the first in a series of conversations on Canada’s commitment to require 100 per cent of car and passenger truck sales to be zero emissions by 2035.
We will be joined by David Adams, president of Global Automakers of Canada; Brendan Sweeney, managing director of the Trillium Network for Advanced Manufacturing; and Rebekah Young, vice-president and head of inclusion and resilience economics at Scotiabank. The event will be hosted by Anita Balakrishnan, The Logic’s electric- and autonomous-vehicles reporter, with opening remarks from Scott MacKenzie, director of corporate and external affairs at Toyota Canada.
