To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the groundbreaking book, Twentynine Palms, Gayle Brandeis hosts a conversation with author Deanne Stillman. Twentynine Palms was an LA Times 'best book of the year,' a SCIBA finalist, and Hunter Thompson called it 'A strange and brilliant story by an important American writer.' Gayle Brandeis is the author of several acclaimed books, including The Art of Misdiagnosis, which received a starred review in Kirkus."

This event also includes Tony Gilkyson, noted singer-songwriter (X, the Dave Alvin Band, and solo CDs), who will debut new songs based on Twentynine Palms.
