About the Authors
Ari North is a queer cartoonist who believes an entertaining story should also be full of diversity and inclusion. As a writer, an artist, and a musician, she wrote, drew, and composed the music for Always Human, a complete romance/sci-fi webcomic about two queer girls navigating maturity and finding happiness. She’s currently working on a second webcomic, Aerial Magic, which is about the everyday lives of the witches who work at a broomstick repair shop. She lives in Australia with her husband.
Mark Tatulli is an internationally syndicated cartoonist, best known for his popular comic strips HEART OF THE CITY and LIO, which appear in 400 newspapers all over the world. LIO has been nominated for Germany’s 2010 MAX AND MORITZ award and multiple times for the National Cartoonists Society’s Best Comic Strip, winning in 2009. Mark has also been nominated numerous times for cartoonist of the year by the NCS. A LIO animated television series is currently in the works.
Laura Knetzger is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts. She has worked as a storyboard artist for Adventure Time, and Bug Boys was her debut graphic novel. You can find her online at @LauraKnetzger.
Shannon Watters is a senior editor at BOOM! Studios and head of its critically-acclaimed YA imprint BOOM! Box. She is also the co-creator and co-writer of the award-winning comic book series LUMBERJANES. She lives in Los Angeles.
