Mellissa Fung: Between Good and Evil
By TPLCulture
Veteran CBC journalist and best-selling author Mellissa Fung shares her new book which tells the true and harrowing story of the nearly 300 school-aged girls kidnapped by the terrorist group Boko Haram. In her gripping book, Between Good and Evil: The Stolen Girls of Boko Haram we learn about the captives who escaped only to be shunned by their families and of the girls who have never been seen again.
During several visits to Nigeria over four years, she sat down with the girls and their families and conducted hundreds of hours of interviews. A former captive herself, Fung brings first-hand understanding and empathy to create an unflinching intimate history of Nigerian girls who survived capture and struggled to rebuild their lives.
Mellissa Fung discusses Between Good and Evil her evocative account of a painful moment in Nigerian history with host Sally Armstrong.
