Environmentalist in Residence: Heal Land, Heal People - The Invasive Species Question
By TPL Programs
Dog strangling vine, European fire ants, Starlings, Zebra mussels - the list of species rapidly spreading in novel habitats is long. But what are they doing? Why are they located where they are? Do they serve a purpose?
Junaid Khan, TPL's 2021 Environmentalist in Residence (EnvIR) will discuss what invasive species are telling us about our environments, and what we can do in response.
By the end of this talk, you will be able to:
- Understand what an invasive species is
- Know how invasive species get introduced
- Take action on invasive species removal
